The Eats: Moru Restaurant and Gourmet Cafe

A couple of weeks ago, I went to Jeonpo Cafe Street with a few friends. We were looking for somewhere to eat before we found a cafe to spend the rest of the night.

We found a small restaurant named Moru Restaurant (모루식당) nestled between two buildings. The downstairs area had two tables, but there was more seating upstairs. You just need to take off your shoes at the bottom of the steps before walking up because you sit on the floor.

The place is small but I loved the vibe of it. It’s a great place to go for a night after work and you want to just chill with a friend and eat some food. The dinner wasn’t knock my socks off amazing, but it was great considering it was the end of a work week and I was starving.

After some conversation for an hour, reflecting on our first weeks in Korea, we left Moru and walked around for awhile to try to find a cafe. It wasn’t long before we just settled on searching one up online that had good reviews. About a 6-8 minute walk from Moru we found Gourmet Cafe (고메카페) which was super cute and a nice follow up to dinner. Their tarts are A1. I can’t wait to go back.

I definitely recommend checking these two places out if you’re ever in Busan and around the Jeonpo Cafe Street area.
